Unpopular opinion:
I don’t find the Victoria’s Secret models very attractive. They look fake. And not the “you’re so beautiful I can’t believe you exist” kind of fake. Like plastic Barbie doll fake.
This sounds progressive.
But in reality it’s just another guy dumping on women. It’s no different than people who whine about women being too fat, too thin, not curvy, too curvy. Don’t look the way you want to, look the way I want you to.
We can fight patriarchal standards without mocking and belittling and infantilizing people. Stop dismissing women as “fake.”
yeah you hear that sort of thing a lot esp during simpering phony-nice-guy entreaties. usually shortly before they start texting their friends “what the fuck i got friendzoned hard man”
you can categorize it along the same lines as men at parties who have to speak VERY LOUDLY WHEN WOMEN ARE AROUND about how like “i just cant come till she comes you know?? …. LOVE going down.” etc etc its gross shit! ! !
not to mention it makes those of us who actually do enjoy going downtown look like assholes for ever mentioning it. I fucking hate “nice guys.”
